Description: The Children's Day celebration at The City School was a grand and joyous event, marked by excitement and enthusiasm from students and teachers alike. The programme commenced with a warm and traditional welcome to the Chief Guest, Dr. Saud Ul Hasan Director and Consultant of the TCS Group, who was graciously escorted to the venue amidst cheers and applause.
The program began with a school report highlighting the school’s achievements and progress over the year. This was followed by a multifaith prayer, fostering a sense of unity and inclusivity among the attendees. The cultural performances were the highlight of the event, showcasing the immense talent and creativity of the students. The action song by the tiny tots melted hearts with their adorable gestures and enthusiasm. The skit “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” captivated the audience with its dramatic presentation, while a comedy play “Post Early on Christmas” brought laughter and joy to all. Vibrant dance performances added colour and energy to the event. Students performed a graceful Rajasthani folk dance, an energetic Garba, and a lively Punjabi dance, each representing the rich cultural heritage of India. In his valedictory speech, the chief guest lauded the role of the school in spreading the light of education. He also encouraged the students to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals while cherishing the joy and innocence of childhood. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone with cherished memories of a day filled with fun, learning, and cultural pride.
